While some of us have abandoned most endless texting calls, there are others who really like or need to make and receive calls. This is hard to do with some iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models right now but, according to Apple, it makes no sound when people make or receive calls. The good news is that Apple will fix these phones for free.
Apple announced a worldwide service program for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models, not including the iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max, no sound issues on Friday. The company explained that “a very small percentage” of the devices may experience sound problems due to one defective component of the receiver module or headset. Apple said phones with this problem had been manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.
This is the first service program for the iPhone 12, according to Apple website.
If your phone has this problem, Apple or an authorized Apple service provider will analyze it to determine if it is eligible for a free repair. You can also choose your phone from Apple to repair it using the email service.
The service program will cover iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices for two years after purchase. However, if your receiver is cluttered, I imagine you are eager to fix it as soon as possible. In addition, FYI, fix the receiver does not extend Apple’s standard one-year warranty on the phone.

Apple points out that if your phone has any damage that prevents repair, such as a cracked screen, it will need to fix it before it can Address problems with your headset. In some cases, you will have to pay for this additional repair.
All in all, even if you don’t make a lot of phone calls, like me, you shouldn’t ignore a phone with this problem. In my case, it could be the delivery man trying to find my door to deliver dinner to me. No dinner, no fun.
