In the middle Kanye West’s media press generated interest in his delayed album Donda, West invited the accused aggressor Marilyn Manswhere (real name: Brian Warner) on stage at one of the rapper’s many listening parties. Manson also received credit, along with rapper DaBaby, which lost its place in Lollapolooza, among other festivals, for making homophobic statements, on West’s album.
Lots of people aren’t happy about it, but one that stands out is one of Manson’s accusers, the musician’s former partner, actor Evan Rachel Wood. Last night, Wood performed a cover of The New Radicals’ hit “You get what you give,”Which makes Manson famous by the lyrics“ Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson / You are all false / Mail to your mansions / Come, we will punch you ”. As Wood sang the lyrics, he raised his middle finger with a not-so-veiled gesture toward Manson. Wood posted the video later Instagram, adding the title, “For my fellow survivors who received a slap in the face this week. I love you. Do not give up “.
Earlier this year, Wood accused Manson of preparation and abuse on Instagram. She wrote:
He started preparing me when I was a teenager and abused me horribly for years, ”he wrote. “They brainwashed me and manipulated me to submission. I just live in fear of reprisals, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call on the many industries that have allowed him, before he ruins more lives. I stand by the many victims who will no longer be silent
Manson denied the allegations. despite this, in a show of support for Wood, many other women they also presented themselves with their own stories against Manson. Four women have filed a lawsuit against Manson for sexual assault, sexual drumming and more. He surrendered to authorities earlier this summer.
