For the first time, investigative detectives said Briscoe was carrying a weapon, but it is unclear if he attempted to use it during the attempted robbery.

Jenkins and Frederick Jackson, 19, are charged with manslaughter and attempted manslaughter, but those charges are likely to be updated due to Riculfy’s death.

“The state has informed us that they intend to file capital murder charges against Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Jackson, so both will have two capital murder charges,” Jenkin’s attorney Anthony said. Bone.

Osso said Jenkins claims he did not shoot the two victims, but was just the driver.

“Those of you who saw it in the courtroom knew that our client was talking about being just the driver and didn’t know anyone would shoot,” Osso said.

Jackson has stated that he was also just the driver of a getaway. He is scheduled to go to court in the morning.

Investigators said there is a third person interested, but no information was disclosed about that person or how they were involved.
