Pat Sajak’s daughter Maggie joins ‘Wheel of Fortune’

“Wheel of Fortune” is becoming a family business for Pat Sajak.

The daughter of the show’s host, Maggie, joins the show’s digital team as a social correspondent, according to Variety.

The 26-year-old will shoot behind-the-scenes videos and interviews with program staff and contestants, as well as share them on the program’s website and social media channels.

Both Sajak, 74, and Vanna White, 64, continued their contracts during the 2023-2024 television season. The iconic couple has been with the program since its inception in 1983.

“Wheel of Fortune” will return for its 39th season. On September 13th. Sajak also appears as a consulting producer.

The news comes just a week after the news that the controversial “Jeopardy!” Executive producer Mike Richards was fired from the popular gaming program.

It’s not Maggie’s first reel in “Wheel of Fortune”. In January 2020, when Sajak was recovering from surgery, White took over as host to take over Pat while Maggie put herself in White’s shoes as a letter turner.

According to the show’s website, Maggie visited the show’s set when she was little. The aspiring country music artist graduated from Princeton and completed a graduate program at Columbia. He is also a law student.

Maggie shared a moment of herself in the Sony Pictures studio on social media, writing, “Looking forward to a week and the premiere of SEASON 39 from @wheeloffortune !!!”

In other news, Sajak won’t stop making the game’s “Final Spin” either. A contestant will control the wheel and turn it to determine how much each letter is worth during the speed round.

“If you think about it, doing the‘ Final Spin ’as a host, I had an impact on the outcome of the game and that has always bothered me because I just didn’t feel good,” Sajak said. “With this change, only the contestants determine the outcome of the game and the host is not imposed in any way.”
