Jennifer Coleman’s body was found Sunday afternoon in a steep, rocky area near the continental divide, the agency said in a statement.
Coleman, 34, was believed to be “making excursions around Logan Pass” on Aug. 30 or 31. according to a tweet. She was reported missing on Sept. 1 and her search began that afternoon when park officials found her vehicle in the Logan Pass parking lot, according to the park service statement.
His cause of death is being investigated.
Logan Pass is the highest elevation in the park that can be reached by car. Last year, a 20-year-old climber from Wichita, Kansas, died after falling from the ridge of Dragon’s Tail.
About 50 search and rescue personnel were involved in the search for Coleman on Sunday, according to the statement.
Glacier National Park officials credited the line of public advice for a faster search resolution.
