ABC’s ‘The Wonder Years’ remake trailer has been released

It was 1968. Kevin Arnold was 12 years old. And a lot of things happened that year.

Fans of “The Wonderful Years” will be able to experience this great adult story on their television screens once again in the reboot of Lee Daniels, which focuses on a black family in the same time period of the original.

ABC released a trailer for its remake of “Wonder Years” with a completely new cast and a whole new story centered around 12-year-old Dean Williams.

The renaissance was set in 1968 and is narrated by none other than Marvel star Don Cheadle. The show follows the Williams family from Montgomery, Alabama, as they experience segregation, love, relationships, and problems typical of preteens.

Cheadle plays adult Dean, while Elisha “EJ” Williams took on the role of Fred Savage as a preteen Dean. Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh and Laura Kariuki also star in the Williams family members.

“I was twelve years old when I was going to find out what my bag was. I would never be as popular as my sister, as smart as my mother or as bad as my father, ”Cheadle says in the teaser. “Some people didn’t have the feeling that we needed to mix black people with white people; he didn’t understand everything. But I decided what my bag would be: the great unifier ”.

The trailer also features a cover of Joe Cocker’s iconic song “Wonder Years”, “With a Little Help From My Friends”. In one scene Dean is shown gathering his friends and family to disband his Little League team. Another scene shows a typical teen drama in the form of thugs filling someone in a middle school closet.
