Apple TV + Ted Lasso it’s about a popular football coach hired to help a stumbling British football club, however the gadget nerds were buzzing about something else that was seen in last Friday’s episode: a iPhone 13 potentially notch free.

The cast of Ted Lasso is frequently seen with Apple products within the program, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed something unusual in a scene where the character pulls out his iPrefine to check a message. As you can see in the photo above, tthere was no mesh in sight here. It looks like the back of the phone is an iPhone 12, though the front has no distinctive mola that we have all loved and respected without any kind of animosity. It looks like the phone also has the same default wallpaper used in iOS 14.

Apple is famous for its secrecy, so it seems unlikely that this is a deliberate sign that the note is disappearing from the iPhone 13. That said, it has been rumored for months that the iPhone 13 would do to own a much smaller notch or a perforated selfie camera. However, a completely sensitive screen it is not believed to be on the cards for this year’s iPhone. It is also possible that this was an unintentional error during the post-editing process. After all, there are several close-ups of iPhones within the same episode where the stain is visible. But users on Twitter looked like detect more than one instance of the phone without studs, and who can say?

CGI is used a lot in Ted Lasso, especially during scenes where the AFC Richmond fictional football club plays its matches in crowded stadiums. (You can watch a good video at Mary Sue to see how extensive these visual effects can be.) Viewers are also convinced in various corners of the Internet that Brett Goldstein, the actor who plays the villain Roy Kent, is also somehow to completely CGI character as part of a broader Apple conspiracy. The latter is obviously a bit off, but since CGI is part of the program’s DNA, it’s not entirely likely that an editor might have become too heavy by accident.

Whether it’s a cheeky signal gesture or a complete gaffe, it’s not like we have to wait too long to see what the iPhone 13 will look like. sale on September 17th, that is, we should receive news about an iPhone launch event in the coming weeks.
