This would mean a 20% increase from 2019, although the target will be reviewed and reviewed regularly in response to any changes in consumer demand, according to the report.
The full-year interim forecast that the iPhone maker shared with its suppliers suggests it plans to manufacture up to 230 million iPhones by 2021, including old and new models, according to the report.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
