Britney Spears has announced that she is engaged to Sam Asghari after five years of relationship, and in the midst of a legal situation in which she will try to regain her freedom.
According to an Infobae article, after the news broke, the pop star’s future husband responded with humor to the artist’s fans who asked him to make a prenuptial agreement before his wedding.
“Thank you to everyone who is concerned about the prenuptial agreement!” Asghari wrote sarcastically in his Instagram story on Monday. “Of course we’ll make an iron prenuptial agreement to protect my jeep and my shoe collections in case she leaves me someday,” she continued, adding 2 emojis of tears and laughter.
After Spears, 39, and Asghari, 27, announced on Sunday that they had taken the next step in their nearly five-year relationship, fans flooded the Instagram profile of the “Toxic” singer with comments who urged her to protect her $ 60 million fortune when she married the model.
Several fans even went so far as to call Asghari “the next K-Fed,” referring to Spears’ ex-husband, American dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she shares her children Sean Preston and Jayden James, 15. and 14 years, respectively.
Oscar winner Eighth Spencer, 51, was among fans concerned about the artist’s heritage and wrote, “Make me sign a prenuptial agreement.” After the commotion, the famous actress erased her message, but it was too late.
The Hollywood star deleted the comment, but many fans are showing their support for the message he sent her, especially amid all of Britney’s legal and financial issues recently.
One fan tweeted, “I’m 100% with Octavia! A lot of people have been taking advantage of Britney. From Kevin, her father, the lawyers. Britney announced on Sunday her engagement to her boyfriend Sam with a lush post in which she showed off a diamond ring engraved with the word “Lioness”.
The announcement came days after her father called for an end to the legal guardianship that has controlled the singer’s life and money for 13 years.
“I can’t (improperly) believe it!” Spears wrote in a video post on Instagram in which he winks, kisses a smiling Asghari on the cheek and replies “Yes!” when he asks her if she likes the ring.
The 4-carat diamond ring is engraved inside “lioness” because it is the nickname with which he calls it, the company Forever Diamonds NY said in a statement.
The couple met on the set of the music video for “Slumber Party” in 2016.
