Britney Spears celebrated Sister Jamie Lynn’s birthday with a back-up photo with ex, Justin Timberlake.
Friday night’s release comes two months after the “Man of the Woods” artist apologized to Spears for contributing to his declining public image in the early days.
“Happy late birthday to this beautiful soul 🎂🎂🎂 !!!” Britney, 39, wrote in the title of the post, which features Spears, 40-year-old Timberlake, and another woman surrounding a young Jamie Lynn, who turned 30 on Sunday, April 4th.
“I love you so much and damn, I wish I was as smart as you at 30,” Spears continued. “It’s weird to say that she was basically your mother when you were younger and yes, I’m even older, but your soul is and has always been wise !!!!
“I am truly genuinely inspired by your path and the life you have created for your beautiful children and I am so proud to call someone as beautiful inside as you my sister !!!” she added.
Spears continued to praise Jamie Lynn’s strength, recalling that his little sister won her over with wrestling moves as a child.
“I would like to be as strong as you and happy birthday 🎊 !!!!” he concluded.
Fans immediately took note of the choice of photo and commented “What a weird picture to choose.”
Another added, “My Britney and Justin in the right corner for me 😍. Glad I chose that image. Now someone is investigating 🔎.”
Others don’t even believe Spears posted the birthday dedication, echoing former makeup artist Billy Brasfield, who claims the southern singer told her she had no control over certain posts.
His field recently told PageSix, however, that the star controls his own social media accounts.
In February, Timberlake posted a long message on Instagram, to his “ignorance” about Spears’ media treatment after his breakup with singer “Toxic,” following the release of the documentary “Framing Britney Spears.” He also addressed coverage related to his performance in the 2004 Super Bowl with Janet Jackson, in which he suffered a slip.
