It looks like someone working on cactus objects at the Super Nintendo World theme park at Universal Studios Japan would have inadvertently built them to look like some cacti that appear. New Super Mario Bros. Wii fan mod. Wow!
As seen by Twitter user Meatball132, the cacti in question can be clearly seen in a video recorded and uploaded by the YouTube channel Universal Parks News Today.
The cacti can be seen in Yoshi’s adventure. These accessories not only look like the same cactus models you see in the fan version, Wii of Super Mario Bros latest, but are almost identical replicas. You can even see a cactus strut in Super Nintendo World that has a pink flower placed in the same spot as the mod cactus.
As Meatball132 points out, it looks like anyone working on this device may have searched Google “New Super Mario Bros. Wii cactus ”and did not realize that the cactus that appeared as one of the best results was not from an official game, but from a fan mod released in 2013.
I can’t wait for Nintendo to ship Nintendo and Universal so they stop.
Also, this is not the first example that people detect content made by fans that Super Nintendo World uses. Last month an artist suggested that Nintendo and Universal had done it used the artist’s 3D rendering of Mario on the park’s official website. What kind of rinky-dink boat do they run around?
