CD Projekt apologizes for the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and shows the 2021 roadmap

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 was almost noticed by everyone. Some are better with mistakes and performance, others are incredibly agitated. Yesterday CD Projekt issued a statement apologizing and showing its plans for the game in 2021.

Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Projekt, explained in a short 5-minute video that the main culprit for the chaotic release of Cyberpunk 2077 was having to work from home, making it very difficult to upgrade the version for previous generation consoles. Basically, they blame COVID-19. I mean about 9 years of development have been used for Cyberpunk 2077.

It is stated that they had never imagined being in this mess and that something similar was unlikely to happen. That said, he assured that they are doing everything possible to correct their mistake and fix the game.

According to a roadmap, none of the plans have changed, and patches 1.1 and 1.2 will be present in the coming weeks, in order to release the first free DLC shortly after and in the last stage of the year, bring the next generation version for the new consoles. The latter will be done along with the new patches that will arrive in the coming months.
