GUANGZHOU, China – Chinese regulators have summoned and interviewed 11 companies that asked them to rectify non-compliant behavior.

The Ministry of Transportation, along with a number of other regulators, including China’s Cyberspace Administration and the State Market Supervision Administration, jointly interviewed companies such as Didi, T3 and Meituan.

Chinese regulators alleged that the services were recruiting unapproved drivers and vehicles.

“These platforms are required to check their own problems, rectify illegal behavior, safeguard orders from fair market competition and create a solid environment for the healthy development of the transport industry,” the Ministry of Transport said. .
