Doja Cat joins Rockin ‘Eve’s New Year’s Eve

December 22 (UPI) – The annual New Year’s Eve by Dick Clark, Rockin ‘Eve with Ryan Seacrest The show announced Tuesday that Doja Cat will perform on December 31st. Doja Cat confirmed this in a tweet of its own.

Doja Cat joins previously announced performers Jennifer Lopez, who will be the starter before the ball drops at midnight. Billy Porter, Cyndi Lauper and Jimmie Allen are also confirmed, with Porter and Lauper performing a duet.

The singer of “Say So”, “Juicy” and “Like That” also joins Bebe Rexha in her performance in NBC New Year’s Eve show. She won the new artist of the year at the 2021 AMAs and was nominated for three Grammys. She is also nominated for Best New Artist at the 2021 Grammys.

Porter and Lucy Hale will join Seacrest as hosts in New York, with Ciara covering New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles. The ABC show will also cover Times Square 2021’s New Year’s Eve night, which includes performances by Gloria Gaynor.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year New Year’s Eve Rockin ‘Eve will be closed to the public. The ABC will air on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. on both shores.
