EU expands border restriction with Mexico for non-essential travel

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security reported that the restrictions on non-essential travel on land borders with Mexico and Canada until April 21 to prevent contagion of covid-19; however, he clarified that continued flows of essential trade and travel continue.

On Twitter, the department has stated that according to science and public health will work for “relieve restrictions when conditions allow and with the protection of our citizens against covid-19 “.

To prevent further spread of covid-19, and in coordination with our partners in Canada and Mexico, the United States is extending restrictions on non-essential travel to our land borders until April 21, at the same time as ensures continuous trade flows and essential travel“.

The last restriction imposed between the border with Mexico was for March 21, because several states maintained red lights for the new coronavirus.
