TV actor Allison Mack, who played a key role in a scandalous, cult-like group in New York State, was jailed in California prison to begin his sentence prematurely, according to a spokesperson for the correctional center.
“We can confirm that Allison Mack entered the custody of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) on September 13, 2021 at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Dublin, Dublin, California,” a prison spokesman said. “The expected release date of Ms. Mack will be calculated in accordance with federal statutes and the Prisons Office policy.”
FCI Dublin, according to its website, is “a low-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum security satellite field”. Currently, the correctional center, which only accommodates female offenders, has 727 inmates.
Mack was sentenced to 3 years in prison on June 30 after pleading guilty to allegedly manipulating women into sex slaves for the group’s spiritual leader.
Mack, best known for her role as a close friend of a young Superman in the series “Smallville,” appeared in federal court in Brooklyn for her sentencing earlier this summer. She is expected to seek credit for cooperating against NXIVM leader Keith Raniere and take responsibility for helping him create a secret society of brainwashed women with their initials.
Engaging in the self-improvement guru “was the biggest mistake and the biggest regret of my life,” he wrote in a letter filed in court last week.
“I am sorry for those you introduced to NXIVM,” he wrote. “I’m sorry to have ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man.”
According to the advisory sentencing guidelines, Mack would have faced between 14 and 17 and a half years behind bars. His defense team has argued in court documents that parole or an internment sentence is more appropriate and prosecutors have agreed that any prison sentence should be below the range of guidelines because of his cooperation.
“The NXIVM saga and the story of the descent of Mrs. Mack have been a tragedy for everyone involved. But that shouldn’t be, and shouldn’t be, the end of the story for Allison Mack, “his lawyers wrote in court papers.
In the end, she was sentenced to 36 months for fraud and 36 months for conspiracy, both served simultaneously. He will also have 3 years probation. In addition, he received a $ 20,000 fine.
Mack, 39, was part of Raniere’s inner circle, whose group attracted millionaires and actors among its fans. Prosecutors said she became a “master” of the “slaves” who ordered “performing labor, taking nude photographs and, in some cases, having sex with Raniere.”
When authorities imprisoned Raniere, he fled to Mexico with Mack and others to try to reconstitute the group there. He was arrested and sent to the United States in March 2018; Mack was arrested a few days later.

Mack provided information to prosecutors about how Raniere encouraged “the use of degrading and derogatory language, including racial insults, to humiliate” slaves, “government documents said. More importantly, he provided a recording of a conversation he had with Raniere about the brand, they added.
The brand should carry “a kind of vulnerable position” with “hands probably over his head, almost as if they were tied up, as sacrifices, anything,” Raniere told him. Women, he added, “should say, ‘Please mark me. It would be an honor. Or something like that. “
Raniere was sentenced last year to 120 years in prison for his conviction on sex trafficking charges.
The self-improvement guru was sentenced accused of turning the women in the group into sex slaves and even marked some of them with his initials.
