Google TV brings new parental controls to your streaming device.

The company announced that as of Monday, parents or guardians can now create individual profiles for each of the children in their household with their name and age or with an existing Google account. they should have one. From these new profiles, account holders will be able to add specific apps, upload movies purchased on other devices, custom wallpapers, and, in the coming weeks, additional avatars for their user profile.

Account holders will be able to protect their normal accounts with a PIN to prevent their children from accessing more advanced content from these user profiles. Parental controls for children’s accounts also allow account holders to set daily screen time limits and an hour to sleep. Google says child profiles will hit the device this month in the United States, followed by a broader global launch “in the coming months.”
