A new show by Guillermo del Toro is already in production.

The public is about to get one take a look at the twisted minds of Oscar winners filmmaker Guillem de el Toro-In reality, eight glances, to be precise. Netflix has just announced the deal and crew for a new show called Cabinet of curiosities of Guillermo del Toro. This is a series of stories that run genre, curated by The shape of the water i Bread Labyrinth director, loaded with different stars and filmmakers. Filming for the show has just begun in Toronto, Canada.

According to the press release, the show presents “a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories, designed to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, these eight equally sophisticated and sinister tales (including two original works by del Toro) will bring to life a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro ”. Basically, two stories occurred to him and is production executive. But he is not alone. J. Miles Dale (The shape of the water) he also acts as an EP and co-showrunner, with executive producers Gary Ungar and Regina Corrado throughout the tour.

  • Essie Davis (El Babadook), Andrew Lincoln (The walking Dead), and Hannah Galway (Sex / life) stars in an episode written and directed by Jennifer Kent (El Babadook), from an original story of of the Bull.
  • Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham (Mythic Quest, Amadeus), Glynn Turman (Fargo, The Wire), i Luke Roberts (Black candles) stars in an episode written by David S. Goyer (Blade, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel), based on a short story by Michael Shea and directed by David Prior (The empty man).
  • Tim Blake Nelson (Vigilantes, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), Elpidia Carrillo (Predator), Demetri Grosse (Fear The Walking Dead; Lovecraft Country), and Sebastian Roché (The man from the high castle) stars in an episode written by Regina Corrado (Deadwood, The Strain) and directed by Guillermo Navarro (Narcos). This one is too based on an original story of of the Bull.
  • Crispin Glover (Back to the future, Willard) and Ben Barnes (Shadow and Bone, Westworld) stars in an episode written by Lee Patterson (The colony) and directed by Keith Thomas (Lighter). It is based on a short story by HP Lovecraft.
  • Peter Weller (RoboCop) stars in an episode directed by Cosmatic cloths (Mandy), who also wrote the script along with Aaron Stewart-Ahn (Mandy).
  • Mika Watkins (Black mirror) he wrote that episode based on a short story by HP Lovecraft, directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight). Tthe cast will be announced later.
  • David Hewlett (See, The shape of water) stars in an episode written and directed by Vincenzo Natali (A The Tall Grass, Splice) based on a short story by Henry Kuttner.
  • Haley Z. Boston (Brand new Cherry flavor) he wrote an episode that will be directed by directed by Ana Lily Amirpour (A girl walks home alone at night; the bad lot) with a cast to confirm later. It is based on a short story by comic book author Emily Carroll.

So yes. An excellent one nailed alignment behind and in front from the camera. The next feature film of Del Toro is your carnival-thriller based Nightmare Alley, which is scheduled to be published later this year; Cabinet of curiosities of Guillermo del Toro it will probably come out next year someday.
