Harry Brant, son of the extravagant fashion of billionaire Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour, has died from an accidental drug overdose, his family said Monday. He was 24 years old.
The good living, a hip-sewing icon along with his older brother Peter Jr., was found dead Sunday, just days before he went into rehab, his parents said in a statement to The Post.
“It is with great pain that we share with you the news that our beloved son, Harry Brant, lost the battle against addiction and died due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs,” the statement said. by Stephanie and Peter Brant.
“It simply came to our notice then. Harry wanted to overcome his addiction and was just days away from re-entering rehab.
“We will be saddened forever that Harry’s life has been cut short by this devastating illness. We ask you to allow the privacy of our family as we try to deal with the loss of our beautiful and beautiful child.”
Harry and his brother, often described as the male version of the wealthy famous sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton, were well-known accessories at New York’s most popular parties and front-row attendees at major international fashion shows.
“Harry loved fashion and was a pioneer in men’s beauty and cosmetics, collaborating with a major brand in a unisex cosmetic line,” his family said.
“He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we’ll never get a chance to see how much Harry could have done.”
Growing up in his privileged world, Harry would tour the family mansion on his 300-acre estate in Greenwich, Ct., With dozens of ponies, a polo field and a 41-foot sculpture of Jeff Koons in the front yard. His father asked him about the names of the artists whose priceless works adorned the walls, Harper’s Bazaar magazine wrote in a family profile in 2014.
“If I got it right, I would get a dollar,” Harry told the magazine.
The brothers’ father, Peter Sr., owns Queens-born newspaper maker White Birch Paper and Brant Publications, Inc., whose background includes Interview magazine founded by Andy Warhol. Peter Sr. he is also a world-renowned art collector and loves to play polo, although he seems to have a temperament, earning him the nickname “the John McEnroe of polo.”
The children’s beautiful mother, Seymour, was one of Victoria’s Secret’s lingerie companies, the first and most famous angels.

Harry Brant was arrested in 2016 for drug theft and rape for allegedly skipping a $ 27.85 taxi fare and being caught “with a white substance” which he later tested positive for as a drug.
That same year, his brother Peter was charged with assault after allegedly getting into a fight with a Port Authority policeman at JFK Airport. In 2012, Peter was also caught joking online to kill President Obama.
In 2009, Peter Brant, Sr., accused Seymour of being an “unsuitable mother” in divorce proceedings, alleging she had taken pills and abused alcohol. Since then, the couple has reconciled.
In 2014, Seymour was charged with DUI after overturning the Range Rover on a freeway ramp and hitting a traffic sign.
Her husband also spent 84 days behind bars for tax evasion.
