Microsoft has not yet allowed local streaming from an Xbox Series X or Series S console to a Windows computer, which is strange, as it is so simple on older Xbox One consoles. The feature is in development, but is not released at the time of writing, and while rumors of an update are starting to gain momentum, there are no indications of a release date at this time.

It’s the same story for streaming from a new Xbox console to a Mac computer at the moment. This was not natively supported on Xbox One X and Xbox One S, but you can use a third-party tool such as OneCast to get the job done: this approach won’t work for now on the Xbox X and S series.
