How to take a screenshot of the entire web page on the iPhone

My partner sent me a tweet over the weekend that reminded me of a feature of the iPhone that I had long forgotten. But it might be useful if you want to take a screenshot of an entire web page to read later, or bookmark and send it to someone.

It’s one of those weird features of the iPhone that we’ve been seeing well for over a year now, but it seems like most people don’t know it.

Here’s how to take a screenshot of an entire iPhone page

  • Open Apple’s Safari browser (doesn’t work in Google Chrome) and go to the website you want to capture, for example, CNBC.com.
  • Take a screenshot on your iPhone. If you have a newer phone without a home button, do so by tapping the power button and turning up the volume at the same time. (If your iPhone still has a home button, tap the home button and the power button at the same time).
  • You will see a screenshot of the site. Now tap the “full page” option at the top.
  • Your iPhone will capture an image of the entire website. You can tap the square clipping tool at the top left to grab a specific part, if you want. Or tap the pencil tools at the bottom to draw on the page.
  • Tap Done.

This is. You have now captured an entire website on your iPhone and can share it with others, read it later, draw it, or save it for later.
