Israel signed an agreement to buy millions of doses of COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) by 2022, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday.

The new vaccinations will be adequate to protect people against different variants of the coronavirus, Netanyahu said in a statement.

He said he hopes to sign a similar agreement to buy the Modern Vaccine Inc. (MRNA.O).

“That means we will soon have more than enough vaccines, for both adults and children,” he said.

On Monday afternoon, Israel’s Walla news website reported that Israel also signed an agreement with Moderna, although officials were unable to immediately confirm the report.
