Kanye West’s concert in Chicago will not require vaccinations or negative tests

No vaccine, no problem, at least for Kanye West fans.

The rapper’s listening party in Chicago will take place on August 26 at Soldier Field, but its venue will not require music lovers to be vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test.

The party of the next 44-year-old album “Donda” will admit up to 38,000 fans, reduced to 63,000 people.

Chicago Park District spokeswoman Michele Lemons said in a statement that the reduced capacity demonstrates how serious the city is taking the pandemic.

“Kanye West’s performance is one of many examples that show Chicago can be open and safe at the same time,” Lemons said, according to the Chicago Tribune. “We have worked with Soldier Field on COVID-19 security protocols, as we have other sites, including Wrigley and Guaranteed Rate Fields, and we believe this event can be held safely with proper mitigation efforts.”

West’s “Donda” album listening party will begin Thursday at 9 p.m. This is the third time that West will host a stadium program to release their album, which has not yet been released since the first listening act on July 22nd.

The Chicago native christened his new record in honor of his late mother and would also have built a replica at Soldier Field of the house he shared with her during his younger years. Donda died in 2007 at the age of 58 after surgery to lift her chest and tummy tuck.

Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband mocked the reconstruction of her crib on Instagram on August 20th. The 1,600-square-foot home was owned by West’s mother more than 18 years ago when she sold it for $ 121,000 in 2003. It has had several owners and was once foreclosed on from the early days.

According to her mother’s 2009 memoirs, “Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From the Mother of a Hip-Hop Superstar,” West lived at home for eight years.

“I didn’t know it, but South Shore and especially South Shore Drive, where we lived, were considered‘ the st ’, a prestigious area in a coveted part of town,” the former professor wrote at the time. “We were within walking distance of Lake Michigan and our backyard went back to Rainbow Park. It’s in the kitchen of that house that Kanye talks about kneeling on the kitchen floor and saying, “Mom, I’ll love you until you get hurt.”
