Lil Nas X trolls by Drake with the announcement of the pregnancy of the album

Real-name rapper “Industry Baby” Montero Hill took to the internet again this week after ruthlessly waking up to the announcement of Drake’s album.

On Monday, Drake announced that his next album, “Certified Lover Boy,” would be released on Friday, September 3rd. The Canadian rapper confirmed the news with the revelation of the cover of the album, by Damien Hirst, which depicts a series of emojis of pregnant women.

Hours later, Lil Nas X confirmed that his long-awaited new album “Montero” was on its way, taking the cover of Drake and making it his own, with a noticeable change.

“MONTERO, THE ALBUM RELEASED ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2021,” hit producer “Old Town Road” on Twitter alongside 12 emojis of pregnant men.

“Oh look. You’re taking something that’s not yours and you’re changing it a little … again,” one Twitter user wrote.

Lil Nas X previously angered FKA Twigs fans by the visual similarities between the singer’s “Cellophane” video and his “Montero (Call My By Your Name)” music video, which saw him go down to the pits of the hell with a stick stripper. FKA Twigs later addressed the allegations, saying she was grateful to him for “acknowledging the inspiration” his video gave him and “fully supporting” his “expression.”

Thursday. Lil Nas X increased the lead against Drake by celebrating the upcoming release with a photo shoot about the pregnancy, and called the project “baby.”

In the series of images shared on her Instagram page, the 22-year-old star is wearing a white satin tunic as she cradles her fake bulge. The “pregnant” singer wears a wreath of white flowers and holds a bouquet by a pool.

The last photo included was a fake baby scan, which showed he was “waiting” for his first studio album.

“SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing it. My little” MONTERO “package of joy is due to be delivered on September 17, 2021,” the attached headline said.

CNN has contacted Drake representatives to comment.

This isn’t the first time Lil Nas X has parodied a version of Drake. In 2019 he joked that he would call his debut album “Nothing Was The Same”, just like Drake’s 2013 album.

He then unveiled his cover version of Drake’s album, tweeting with an image almost identical to his side profile on a blue background full of clouds.
