Imagine if yours the parents were famous superheroes… and then the time came for you to follow the family business. This is the premise of The legacy of Jupiter, a new Netflix series that just released today a first trailer full of action.
Created by Steven S. DeKnight (Smallville, Daredevil) and based on the comic book series of Mark Millar and Frank Quitely (a good gesture with the head of the van), The legacy of Jupiter tells the story of the “first generation of superheroes in the world” when they try to take their children to the ranks that save the world. But meeting parents ’expectations is hard enough cap child, let alone the children of famous superheroes.
Also, as this first trailer makes clear, there is additional pressure from everyone watching them trying to get into some pretty giant shoes, and the fact that these kids are little resentful of their parents for being MIA because of all that hero stuff while they were grown up.
Overall, the tone here looks pretty serious, despite the colorful costumes, explosive special effects and the “aged Fabio” hairstyle of star Josh Duhamel. (In addition, we already have a current series that delves into the whole “omg my dad is a superhero”, But it seems a little more expansive than Superman and Lois Bye now.)
The legacy of Jupiter“Also starring Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, Matt Lanter and Ian Quinlan,” hits Netflix on May 7th.
