Apple has just announced a product event on April 20 where it is expected to announce new versions of the iPad Pro, AirTags tracking devices and more. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Apple could take advantage of the event to continue to push the iPad they have seen during the pandemic. In January, Apple reported iPad revenue of $ 8,444 million during its first fiscal quarter, 41% more than the previous year. The new iPad Pros are expected to pack Apple’s latest and most recent processor and may include a new type of display that uses mini LED technology to produce better images for watching movies and viewing photos.

This is a digital event, which means it will be streamed online rather than held in person, due to the ongoing Covid pandemic. Last year, Apple updated the iPad Pro in March, when it also introduced the magic keyboard, which makes it feel more like a laptop. It announced its second-generation AirPods in March 2019, so they may also be upgraded.

It has long been rumored that Apple would launch AirTags, a Tile-like product that you can attach to items, such as keys, or place in a bag, and track them using Apple’s Find My software. integrated into iPads and iPhones. Apple has been testing a way to track these devices with its beta software for iPhones.

But Apple could use the event to introduce any number of new products. Other devices that can be upgraded include iMacs, which have not been upgraded to their new M1 processor.

Apple AirPods are the best-selling headphones in the world. It makes sense to update them to keep up the momentum as competitors introduce similar products, often at lower prices. However, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s chief analyst, said in March that new AirPods may not be released until the third quarter of this year.

And finally, the Apple TV has long since had to be upgraded. The Apple TV 4K, the current model, came out in 2017, but it was even a minor upgrade from the version that came out in 2015. Bloomberg said in December that Apple is planning an update with a new remote control, an updated processor and a “game approach”.
