I know big, flashy gaming phones aren’t a cup of tea for everyone, but you still have to appreciate it when a company is engaged in performance. Of course precisely what Nubia has done with the new Red Magic 6.

The basic model of red magic includes a huge, 6.8-inch AMOLED display with an update frequency of 165 Hz and a resolution of 2400 x 1080, along with a Snapdragon 888 chip, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, depending on the your settings. Nubia even increased the touch sampling rate with multiple fingers of Red Magic to 360Hz to make sure competitive mobile gamers get the most responsive inputs possible, while including touch-sensitive triggers on the edge of the phone.

Nubia calls the design of Red Magic science fiction magic, which seems very correct. He the phone seems to blend naturally into one Gundam episodes. There’s also a 64 MP main camera augmented by an ultra-wide 8 MP camera and a 2 MP macro camera, even with Nubia launching an assortment of cyberpunk-inspired filters.

Nubia offers a number of software modifications, such as Tencent’s mobile gaming accelerator and Solar Core Engine, in addition to Red Magic’s RAM Boost and Frame Optimization 2.0 for sharper performance. And just in case it’s not enough, Nubia said the Red Magic 6 features a multidimensional cooling system that uses 13 temperature sensors, an air duct, thermal gel, graphene and more to keep the phone from overheating. There is even one clip fan, which I find excessive, but I guess so nI still have enough cooling.

Finally, the Red Magic 6 includes a 5,050 mAh battery, a headphone jack and a 65-watt charge. But again, this is just the standard model. If you upgrade to the Red Magic 6 Pro, you’ll get 12GB or 16GB of RAM, a faster cooling fan, a 120-watt load, and an extra aluminum heat plate for, you guessed it, more cooling. Unfortunately, the total capacity of the Red Magic 6 Pro decreases due to this board, leaving it with a 4,500 mAh package.

But the real Mechazord is the “Dao” edition of Red Magic 6, which features a transparent back with an RGB backlit fan and a huge 18GB RAM, which is probably more to boast of rights than any kind of tangible performance. There’s also a more obvious Tencent brand so don’t forget who helped collaborate on the device.
