Release dates for ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ were delayed again due to the pandemic

“Top Gun: Maverick,” “Mission: Impossible 7,” and “Jackass Forever” are heading back to 2022, the study announced.

“Mission: Impossible 7” has moved to September 30, 2022, “Top Gun: Maverick” will no longer be released during Thanksgiving weekend (moving to Memorial Day 2022) and “Jackass Forever” will be launched from October. February 2-4, 2022.

The sequel to “Top Gun” had already been delayed several times during the pandemic. In June the production of “Mission: Impossible 7” was closed for several days due to a positive Covid case.

The rest of 2021 will have no version of the Paramount. The studio will release the new “Scream” on January 14th.

Date changes are expected to maximize box office sales, likely to recoup production costs from blockbusters.
