“Because someone trusted me to lead, I have a choice,” he continued, “I can rest easy and try to survive by taking the easy path. Or I can talk and lead without worrying about the consequences.”
The legislator explained the dangers of how quickly what he described as misinformation can travel quickly in a political discourse dating back years. He stated: “As civil servants we have a responsibility to serve in good faith,” despite the political results.
