In the two hotly contested races, Republican senators lead 51% of the vote. Warnock and Ossoff remain at 48% and 1% are undecided.
According to the results of the survey, Ossoff and Warnock are favored by the younger demographic population, especially with voters under 30, while Loeffler and Perdue are more popular among older voters, those aged 65 and over. .
Rural voters are also polling Republican ballots, with Loeffler and Perdue leading 68% and 67% of the vote, respectively. In urban / suburban areas, Democrats are ahead, with Warnock at 75% of the vote and Ossoff at 73%.
Spencer Kimball, director of Emerson College Polling, noted that the data revealed that “there is little cross-support, suggesting a party should win both seats.”
Among the issues that Georgia voters said were most important to them were the economy (31%), the response to COVID-19 (24%), health care (15%) and social justice (12%).
Those who prioritize the economy are breaking for Republican headlines, while Democratic challenges lead voters who see coronavirus, health care and social justice as more important.
The Emerson College survey surveyed 605 people from Dec. 14-16. It has a margin of error of 3.9 percentage points.
