If there’s one exciting thing about the COVID-19 pandemic (debatable, but give it a lullaby for a second), it’s that it serves to remind us that celebrities are just like the rest of us, that is, when they get bored and often tend to start podcasts to better spend time with the sounds of their own voices. The genre “Television stars collect their own old work” has become thriving in recent years, with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey The office with Office Ladies, and Zach Braff and Donald Faison giving a similar treatment to Shrubs with Fake doctors, true friends. Now we can add the name of Rob Lowe to the famous, boring and with microphone, with the news that Lowe is released Parks and memory, a Parks and recreation podcast recap.

Lowe is embarking on the series (a co-production with Stitcher) with Parks writer / producer Alan Yang, making his way through Pawnee’s fictional story, and presumably talking a lot about this little horse that people seem to like so much. Of course, one of the most interesting things about this project is that Lowe didn’t join Parks until the end of his second season, which means we’ll have to listen to several episodes that try to find nice things to say about Mark Brendanawicz. (Unlike the show itself, which did quite a bit to ignore the actor Paul Schneithe existence of der after leaving the series.)

Parks and memory is being produced by Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco, his second podcast with Lowe, after Literally! With Rob Lowe“Also.” Parks reference: which will return for a second season soon with that of the actor old friend Molly Ringwald. When announcing this new show, Lowe said some Parks and recreation things:

This is literally the best, second best, or third best idea for a podcast I’ve ever heard. Tent if on one Parks and recreation fan or not, this one will be fun!

In the meantime, you can check out the previous trailer, which includes audio by Chris Pratt, Ben Schwartz, Fred Armisen, and a lot of people working behind the scenes of the series.
