BERLIN, September 6 (Reuters) – Russia is responsible for a renewed cyber attack on the German parliament, a spokesman for the Berlin Foreign Ministry told a journalist on Monday.
“The German government has reliable information that the activities of ghostwriters can be attributed to cyber protagonists of the Russian state or to the military intelligence (service) GRU of Russia,” the spokesman said.
This behavior was unacceptable and posed a threat to Germany, he added: “The federal government strongly urges Russia to put an immediate end to these activities.”
