(Reuters) – Tesla Inc. has filed an appeal against a U.S. National Labor Relations Board ruling that the electric car maker had violated U.S. labor law and by order of the agency that the executive director Elon Musk deleted a tweet from the account.

The electric car maker filed a petition Friday in the U.S. Court of Appeal based in New Orleans to review the NLRB’s decision and order issued on March 25th.

In the petition, Tesla asked the court to review the order and grant Tesla “any other relief the Court deems just and equitable.”

Last month, the NRLB ordered Tesla to direct Musk to remove the tweet and post a notice addressing the illegal tweet at all of its facilities across the country and include language that said, “We will take the appropriate steps to ensure that Musk complies with our directive. “

In the 2018 tweet, Musk wrote: “Nothing prevents the Tesla team at our car plant from voting for the union. They could do tmrw if they wanted to. But why pay union dues and give up options? about actions for nothing? Our safety record is 2 times better than when the plant was UAW and everyone already had health care. “

The NLRB also ordered Tesla to offer the reinstatement to a former employee and to repeal the 2017 rules prohibiting the distribution of union literature in its parking lot during non-business hours and the rules prohibiting the distribution of union stickers, brochures and leaflets without obtaining previously allowed.
