From Apple watchOS platform it doesn’t have as many customization options as other smartwatches, such as built-in watches From Google Use OS, do it. But there are many ways to do this do yours Apple Watch yours, beyond choosing the color, size, and strap of the watch. The following are the main functions to know and how to use them.
The Watch app on your iPHone gives you some customization options to get you started. Faucet Application visualization and you can choose between a grid and a list for your applications (shown when you click the digital crown); with a grid, you can also play Disposition to position all your applications exactly the way you want them.
Then there’s the dock, which you pull by pressing the side button on your Apple Watch. That shows your latest apps or up to ten of your favorite apps. To tell yours see what apps are displayed, tap Moll in the Watch app for iOS, then choose Recent or Favorites (If you select the latter, you can select the applications you want to see and the order in which they appear).

Apple has not yet opened its doors to a community of third-party watch developers, but there are a growing number of Apple-approved faces (for the Apple Watch Series) 4 and later, at least). To switch to a new clock from the actual clock, swipe left or right to the present face to see your options.
If you just set up your Apple Watch, you won’t really have many options. You can play Newand Apple will present a selection of faces to examine: scroll up or down the screen to scroll through them. When you find something you like, tap the face of the watch to set it up (it will also be added to the quick dial list that appears when you swipe the face of the current clock).
It may be easier to set up clock faces from your phone. If you open the Watch app, you can tap Gallery of faces to see all available options. Here you will see not only a selection of faces, but several variations of these faces. When you select one, you can choose the colors you use (if available) and the complications you will see (again, if the face of the clock supports them).
Faucet add on a clock and is added to the file My faces box al My watch tab: tap Edit to change the faces that appear in this list. This is the same list you will see if you swipe the clock to see more options—It’s a good idea to store the faces you use most often here for easy access. If you tap any of these preset faces in the phone app, you’ll access the personalization screen, where you can also choose: Set as the current clock face or Take your face off the watch.
Once you have a few clock faces in the My faces gallery, you can swipe the clock screen to slide between them. You need to hold down the key if you want to share a watch look that you especially like, because that’s where you’ll find the share button at the bottom left.
See complications
Some clock faces have complications, yes small shortcuts that lead to applications or functions, or panels showing real-time information. Again, you can change these complications from your watch or from your phone. To do this on your portable device, press and hold the clock face, and then select Edit. You’ll first see the color options, and then you can swipe left to see the complication options.
Touch any of the available complications to switch it to something else and scroll with the digital crown to make your selection. Your choice will depend on the type of complication you have and the applications you have installed; select them and press the digital crown twice to return to the clock screen.
As with clock faces, it’s probably easier to set up from your iPhone’s Watch app. You can touch any face My faces o al Gallery of faces to get to the complications, which can then be easily shifted. Some clock faces will have more complications than others, and while you won’t be able to rearrange them on the screen, you can turn off some if you want.
If you think you need more hassle to play, look for iPhone apps that also have decent Apple Watch apps and hassles included. You may have musical complications with Spotify, weather complications with Carrot time, note the complications with Support, and travel complications with Citymapper, for example. Some complications display information, while others allow interaction.
It is possible to create your own complications, to some extent, with the same tools used by developers. The best option we have found so far is Watchmaker, which allows you to create complications that cover time, time and date, astronomy and more, and also have options to change complications by time.
Other tweaks
There are other ways to customize the look of what you see on your Apple Watch. If you choose Screen and brightness from inside the Watch app on your iPhone, for example, you can adjust the screen brightness and turn the key Always on the feature is on or off (if available), resize the text on the Apple Watch screen, and if you want, make that text bold. You can also make these changes in the Clock Settings application.
One way to completely customize your Apple Watch is define your own photo like the face of the clock. If you open the Photos app on your watch and then select an image and tap the small clock icon at the bottom left, you can apply the image as a background, either as a simple image or with a kaleidoscope effect.
This is basically the idea behind it Do it also, showing custom designs created by others (not third parties)party clock faces, but different backgrounds and combinations of complications that people want to show. If a clock face you select uses a complication of an application that you do not have installed, you will be prompted to install it.
It also doesn’t take too much effort to create specific background images for the Apple Watch in your favorite image editor. All you have to do is look for the screen resolution of your Apple Watch and leave room for the digital clock that Apple hits at the top (if you choose a kaleidoscope effect, you’ll get analog hands, but there’s no way to specifically ).
Finally, it is also worth mentioning those of Apple Shortcut application. If you have the app running on the smartwatch, then you can initiate compatible actions from the wrist and even configure them as complications on the faces of the clock. It’s another way to create custom complications: in this case, you can start shortcuts that come in handy.
