The new Nike shoe can help athletes and non-athletes get out the door faster. The sports equipment company introduced hands-free footwear on Monday that allows you to dress and undress more quickly.
The new cordless shoe, called Nike Go FlyEase, does not require users to use their hands to slide the shoe. This makes it suitable for both traveling people and various physically disabled athletes, according to the compay.

“In the Nike Go FlyEase, this translates into serving the widest range of active lifestyles possible, whether the user is champion fencer Bebe Vio, a student running in class or a parent with full hands.” , Nike said in a statement.
Vio, an Italian fencer, who lost his arms and legs due to meningitis when he was little and competes in a wheelchair, walks with prosthetic legs. Putting on shoes is usually a time consuming activity.
“I usually spend so much time putting on my shoes,” Vio said in a statement. “With the Nike Go FlyEase, you just have to put your feet up and jump in it. Shoes are a new kind of technology, not just for adaptive athletes, but for everyone’s real life.”
Sarah Reinertsen, an American Paralympic athlete and member of FlyEase’s design team, said people with disabilities, pregnant women and busy parents were among those who inspired the concept of shoes.
“If you design for the most extreme needs, you’ll get benefits for everyone,” he said. “If a shoe works for someone who doesn’t have hands, it will work for people who have two hands.”
“We were also inspired by pregnant women who don’t have children yet, but can barely bend during the third trimester,” Reinertsen added.
Earlier FlyEase models allow for faster entry and exit by using zippers and laces, but none is completely hands-free. According to Nike, the running, basketball and daily footwear collection was designed to “make a profit for all athletes.”
The innovative $ 120 shoe will be available in limited quantities on Feb. 15 and will be more widely available later this year, according to Nike.
Consumers on social media have praised the latest style.
“Glued to @Nike #GOFlyEase, my sister lost use of her left arm in 2007 and that would be great for her.” Twitter said user Roman Ruiz.
