In honor of the show’s 25th anniversary, Burns talks about his decision to abruptly leave the show in 2002, which left many viewers.
“Remember how, when we were younger, we ran and stayed with Blue, found clues, and talked to Mr. Salt, cared about mail, and did all the fun things?” Burns says in the video. “And then one day he said to me,‘ Oh, guess what? Great news, I’m leaving. Here’s my brother Joe, he’s your new best friend, “and then I got on a bus and I left. Haven’t we seen each other in a long time? Can we talk about it? Great. Because I realize it was a little abruptly “.
Wearing the T-shirt and hat he wore as a host, Burns explained that he left for college. Burns added that school “was really a challenge, but fantastic because I had to use my mind and take one step at a time and now I’m literally doing a lot of the things I wanted to do.”
He also noted all the successes he and the public have had.
“I mean we started with clues and now, is that what?” Burns said. “Student loans, jobs and families? And some of them have been a little difficult, you know? I know you know.”
Then came the part that really hit us in the senses.
“I wanted to tell you that I really couldn’t have done all this without your help and in fact all the help you helped me with when we were younger still helps me today. And that’s fantastic,” He said. he said. “I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot about you. Never. And I’m so glad we’re friends.”
Signal of all tears.
