The Roddenberry gene, creator of Star Trek, will receive Biopic

A black and white shot of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry.

On August 19, 2021, Eugene Wesley Roddenberry was born in El Paso, Texas. He grew to become a member of the Air Force during World War II, later a member of the LAPD, and in full expansion. TV screenwriter. And, yes, he did create one of the most beloved and enduring science fiction franchises Of all time. The man deserves his own biopic and now is exactly what he is getting.

Announced earlier today, on what would have been his centennial birthday, Roddenberry will receive his own biographical film — from whom else? – of his son Rod Roddenberry and Roddenberry Entertainment. Star Trek: Discovery i PicardTrevor Roth will co-produce the film with young Roddenberry, who Limit date the reports will have a screenplay by Adam Mazer, who also wrote You Don’t Know Jack, a 2010 HBO biopic that examined the life of Dr. Kevorkian played by Al Pacino. Viously, obviously, the two subjects have very little in common, however Jack was critically acclaimed and equally loved by the public, according to Rotten Tomatoes, so there seems to be nothing to worry about. Also, I’m sure Rod will step in to make his father proud if the need arises.

The question is: who should play Gene Roddenberry? Who could do him justice? I see myself with a complete void, so I would love to hear your suggestions in the comments. As you do so, you may be able to share your dreams with the actors who play the Star Trek: The Original Series cast, namely William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, DeForrest Kelly, and the rest. There is absolutely no way that the Abrams, the Kelvin universe Trek the actors will repeat the roles as actors instead of the characters (they would be too old anyway). But Ethan Peck, who played Spock on Star Trek: Discovery and will do so again in the next series New strange worlds, probably has an advantage when it comes time to throw Nimoy.

Though shaken, this is a birthday present for Gene and a well deserved one as well.
