GATESVILLE, Texas (KWTX) – The son of Coryell County Sheriff Scott Williams has been released after being arrested and charged with domestic violence and possession of marijuana.
Samuel Williams, 27, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. after officers were sent to a home in Gatesville in response to a call for domestic violence, Gatesville police chief said Wednesday. Nathan Gholke.
Coryell County Magistrate Justice Coy Latham set bail for a charge of assault that caused bodily injury / domestic violence, a Class A felony charge and a marijuana possession charge of less than 2 ounces, a class B offense.
Williams was admitted to Coryell County Jail Monday night and was released after the bail was released Tuesday, according to documentation.
Scott Williams said he has spoken with prosecutors to make sure his son is not treated differently than any other defendant.
