Traeger pellet grills and smokers are the centerpieces of many suburban barbecues and those lucky enough to be able to care for these machines are considered gods among the set of breasts. Now, after years of being able to check and adjust the grid over the phone, Traeger is already which offers an Apple Watch app for moving grills.

Traeger grills have wifi connection, which means you can connect remotely. Currently, the phone app offers recipes and notifications that tell you when the meat reaches a certain temperature. You can also change the heat and even activate the smoker remotely.

The Apple Watch app is similar but simpler. The app allows you to change the temperature, check the temperature of the probe and activate the heating mode once you have finished the meal. The following video shows an idyllic example in which the grill puts some beef on the grill and then makes snowshoes, checking the grill from the comfort of the wrist.

Apple Watch apps aren’t new, but this one is especially spicy as, while not technologically impressive, it puts control of the smoked pork shoulder on the wrist. If this is not the future, I don’t know what it is.
