WallStreetBets, the famous investment group to feed the rallies in GameStop Corp i AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc., is back in Discord’s service later it is forbidden to allow hate speech.
According to Discord, a popular communications platform among players, the group is already up and running with a new server, a digital room where people can gather to chat.
Discord said Wednesday it had banned the group from not doing enough to curb hate speech. The company cited several violations of community guidelines and said it had issued notices to its server administrator. The move was not tied to the group’s efforts to promote actions like GameStop.
“We will welcome the group as long as they improve their moderation practices and follow our community guidelines,” Discord said in a statement Thursday. “We have contacted moderators to provide support and advice, as we do for many of our large communities.”
Elon Musk, the billionaire boss of Tesla Inc., has tweeted its annoyance over the Discord move on Wednesday at the end. “Even Discord has been getting bigger,” he said.
