WhatsApp will stop working on these mobile devices from November

We present a list of devices that will no longer have the support of the application due to the update that will no longer be supported.

The WhatsApp app frequently sends messages to its users for updates; however, the App announced that it will no longer be compatible with some of the devices currently in use and will limit access as of November this year.

Through its official website the platform announced that the new update requires mobile devices to have a newer operating system or at least a version of Android 4.1 during the verification process to receive calls and messages as usual.

But the limitation not only covers WhatsApp but also Facebook, as it will not be able to be used in Android 4.0.4 phone versions or in previous updates.

The new update and abandonment of support for incompatible devices will take effect on November 1, 2021.

In the case of mobiles running the iOS operating system, it will be necessary for the devices to have at least version 10 of it, so it will be the iPhone 4S that will not be able to get the update and will have to say goodbye to the ‘app.

Among the latest updates that the WhatsApp platform, announced on September 8, is that it will be able to hide the last connection to certain contacts. To date there were only 3 options to select if all users of the app could see this information, only the contacts registered on the device or none.
