Where to get the “Unity” wallpaper for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Continuing Apple’s celebration of black culture, the company has released new (and magnificent) “Unity” wallpapers. These additions to Apple’s Black Unity collection come as a result of Apple’s release Unity-themed watch faces, Apple Watches and Apple Watch, which can now be purchased at any Apple Store.

As a reminder, the Black Unity Collection borrows its colors from the pan-African flag, highlighting “a symbol that unites people from across the African diaspora.” As Apple wrote earlier when launching their watch faces:

“Red represents the blood that unites the people of the African diaspora and that has been shed for their release. Black is for people with life affirmed by the flag. And green is a symbol of the natural and vibrant wealth of Africa, the homeland.

The new Unity wallpapers are heavily buried on Apple’s website. To find them, pull up the file Apple Watch page, then click the “Learn More” link shown here:

Scroll down and find the links to your Mac, iPad and iPhone wallpapers. Click ‘Get Wallpapers’ to download them, then transfer them to your device as you wish. (As a Windows user, I find it easier to upload wallpaper to the Photos app on icloud.com, but you can use any other technique.)

As a reminder, you can change the macOS wallpaper by clicking on the Apple logo in the upper left and going to System Preferences> Desktop and Screen Saver.

On iOS / iPadOS, you will need to remove the file Configuration and navigate to the appropriate name Wallpaper section. And, yes, Apple’s offering is just a single Unity wallpaper for each device. Those looking for a more stylish option, such as a dynamic wallpaper that changes color depending on the time of day, will have look elsewhere to obtain a fund of similar theme. Or you can use it too an online tool to create different versions of Unity wallpapers with color changes use an application to combine them into a single dynamic wallpaper. It’s a bit of work, but it will look amazing.
