Woman in ambulance dead, 8 more injured in Flatlands, Brooklyn

FLATLANDS, Brooklyn (WABC) – At least eight people were injured and a 95-year-old woman in an ambulance died after a car in Brooklyn was deboned in T.

The Citizen App video shows the vehicle upside down next to it, near N Avenue and Schenectady Avenue in the Flatlands section on Sunday.

The surveillance video shows the moment of impact when a black sedan crashed into the ambulance. At this time it is not clear which driver had the green light.

Police say the woman who was inside the ambulance was already in cardiac arrest moments before the accident and the EMTs were working on it. He was in the ambulance with his 65-year-old son.

It is unclear whether he died from injuries caused by the accident or from a heart attack.

The other victims of the accident suffered minor injuries.
