Xena takes Hercules for the Capitol protests

Lucy Lawless, perhaps better known as “Xena: Warrior Princess,” is kicking and naming names, as usual.

Yesterday the New Zealand actor logged on to Twitter and chose verbal violence, against comrades of legendary proportions Kevin Sorbo, whom many remember as “Hercules” on television. The two icons of the 90s were known for their crossovers of series, in which the two characters would defeat all sorts of folk monsters and fairy tale villains.

But in the real world, Lawless has looked to defeat another type of rival: baseless claims about Capitol riot police.

Sorbo tweeted a response to a surreal portrait of three protesters who rushed to the Capitol, including prominent conspiracy theorist Jake Angeli, widely known as that boy who appeared in DC shirtless and heavily painted red, white and blue, with a horn headdress, leather suit.

“They don’t look patriotic to me,” Sorbo said Jan. 6, in a retweet shared by Rogan O’Handley, a DC lawyer with #MAGA on his profile. “Do they look like Trump supporters? Or left-wing agitators disguised as Trump supporters … ”O’Handley asked in his original tweet.

“No, Peanut,” Lawless replied – condescendingly – to Sorbo’s retweet, following the unfounded claims of his and O’Handley’s. “They are not patriots. They are your flying monkeys, self-produced terrorists, QAnon actors. It’s the shower bags that come out and do the wrong orders for people like you who like to end up like toys and let them do the worst they can. ”

He concluded with the hashtags #KeepingYourFilthyHandsClean and #enabler.

The original statement that the photograph of actors disguised as Antifa was also slapped with a Twitter warning, which said in part: “There is no evidence so far to show that Antifa activists were part of the crowd that entered the building on Wednesday, according to the fact – testers from Snopes, PolitiFact, BuzzFeed News and other organizations “.

The Lawless retort has had since went viral with 42,000 likes and about 10,000 retweets, so liked that even his fans have gotten waste.

“Lucy Lawless, as bad as her namesake. Love her forever ” wrote Timo Tjahjanto, which has about 40,000 of its own pleasures based on Lawless’s linguistic attack.

“Xena folding Hercules is the content I’m here for,” tweeted @valhallabckgirl. His praise also garnered 32,000 likes.

Comedian Patton Oswalt also shared a screenshot of the exchange with Sorbo. “DAAAMN @RealLucyLawless” he tweeted, along with three “100 point” emojis.
