Yang exploded, called “pro-police,” during Daunte Wright’s protest

The city’s hopeful mayor, Andrew Yang, was baffled and called “pro-police” during a Tuesday night protest in New York by bicycle over the police murder of Daunte Wright.

The Democratic candidate traveled with about 150 cyclists from Barclays Center to Lower Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge before he faced off.

“Don’t use our protest for your publicity,” a woman told Yang through a megaphone when the group stopped at Battery Park around 7:50 p.m.

“We do not want you here. You’re pro-police, ”the woman said, according to footage from the meeting obtained by The Post.

Several members of the demonstration, which had been diluted at the time, chanted “shame” at Yang as he left.

Last month, Yang called for more funding for the Asian workforce on NYPD hate crimes, amid a period of violence against the vulnerable community.

Yang’s statement, made during a rally against anti-Asian attacks in the Chinatown, was initially applauded, but other people in the crowd booed and chanted “Spread the police,” according to videos shared from the scene.
