IHS Markit
publishes its manufacturing and services purchasing manager indices for April. The Census Bureau will also report on new single-family home sales for March.
Finally, the European Central Bank will announce its latest monetary policy decision in Frankfurt on Thursday. The expectation of consensus is that policymakers will keep their benchmark interest rate unchanged at half a point below zero.

The National Association of real estate agents reports on sales of existing homes in March. The consensus estimate corresponds to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 6.3 million homes sold, slightly higher than the 6.2 million in February. Existing home sales are slightly off the recent peak last October, but are stronger than at any time since the housing bubble burst nearly 15 years ago.
The Conference Board publishes its leading economic index for March. Economists forecast a 0.6% month-on-month increase, after a 0.2% increase in February. The most recent forecast by the Conference Board predicts 5.5% growth in gross domestic product this year.

IHS Markit releases both its manufacturing and service purchasing managers index for April. Expectations are a reading of 60.3 for the manufacturing PMI and a reading of 60.5 for the services PMI. The two estimates would be a maximum of three years for their respective indices.
The Census Bureau reports new single-family home sales for March. The consensus estimate corresponds to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 831,000 homes sold, above the February 775,000 figure. At the time, the average sale price of a new home was $ 349,400, just shy of the December high of $ 356,600.
