The senator of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD), Javier Aponte Dalmau, has confirmed that former legislator Fernando Tons gave up the contract that would be awarded this four-year term after criticism for having been convicted of corruption in the past.
Aponte stated on the radio station Note Un 630 that he is no longer hiring To in the Senate, but in his place will also be the popular ex-legislator Charlie Hernández.

On the reaction of the public to the contract in Tons, Senator Aponte Dalmau accused Puerto Ricans of being hypocrites for “not providing second chances.”

Earlier in the week it was learned that the Carolina District senator and spokesman for the majority would have in his office Fernando Tons, a former lawmaker convicted of corruption in 1995.
